Any way to get to attend school?

ok heres my problem..... and unfortuneately, no one in my small town knows the answer to it.... ok so my friend is attending a community college here in VA, and was receiving money from FAFSA and grants last semester, when he dropped an unneeded cl for his diploma, and Financial Aid dropped him as a result(when the woman told him that it would not). On top of that, they sent him something in the mail that stated he would be unable to take out ANY kind of federal or stafford loan until he catches his credits up, and which they said he has 2 options: pay out of pocket, or have someone give you the money. Long story short we decided to go to the bank and try for a personal loan, (as theres no way he could take the money out of pocket because his bills were too high and he makes minimum wage at a crappy job) and everything seemed good for the personal loan until they all eventually informed us we would need a co signer... We tried EVERONE we could thuink of but everyone we both knows credit is bad, or not high enough.... The max amount he would need for one semester to catch up his credits would be around $2000... Does anyone know of any other possibillities or ways to go about getting the money???
