Pit-Bull and baby problem?

Not at all - stick to your decision. It's your baby, so you get to decide what's best. How hard is it to close a door?!! I don't have a problem with dogs, my children have been around dogs since they were born, but you are right to be wary about pit-bulls - I certainly would be. My parents have a collie/dalmation cross who I would trust with my children's lives, but my mother-in-law has a Jack Russell who I would not allow any where near my babies.
