Mommies, how do I get her to sleep? How do you do it?

My daughter is 7 months old, she naps at random times each day from 20 minutes - 3 hours, and everytime I lay her down all hell breaks loose, she HATES leaving mommy or daddies arms, but its not possible to hold her for hours! How do you do it? Do you swaddle? Do you put a receiving blanket over them? Do you lay them down in just their pj's? Do you use a sleep positioner? Tell me your nap and bedtime routine, and how your child sleeps please! I need some tips!
