Why does it seem women are not attracted to intelligent men?

I read magazines where they ask women what kind of men do you like and they say things like,"tall,dark,and handsome",or,Confidence,swagger."Why is it that words such as intellectual and intelligence are seldom used?It seems intelligence is something that doesn't trigger attraction in many women.
